Therapists » Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Parenting can be a challenge, but also the most rewarding thing you will ever do. I love coming alongside children, adolescents, and families to help them find joy and peace. I began my journey in mental health working with college students and transitioned into K-12 school counseling. For twenty years, I have provided unconditional support, by helping each client navigate life's changes, including divorce, anxiety, grief, depression, anger management, self-esteem, school interventions, difficult behaviors, and more. As a parent and mother myself, I understand the challenge of raising a child today, and am here to help! I create individualized treatment plans based on each client’s specific goals, needs, and strengths. Using the lens of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Child Play Therapy, I believe every maladaptive behavior once served a purpose, and I strive to help clients explore behaviors that serve them better in the present. In support of each client's unique story, I am sure to meet them with respect and compassion. I use my training in child development and my experience helping overwhelmed parents and struggling children to find solutions that lead to hope, healing and freedom. Together we will work as a team to find solutions that work for you.
