"We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them." -Albert Einstein. If you are someone who is looking for a change in your life or who desires a new perspective, you are exactly where you are supposed to be. Recognizing and changing old patterns can be difficult work but you don't have take that journey alone. People who find my style of counseling most useful tend to appreciate a gentle but direct approach. My specialties include older adults (60+), veterans, domestic violence survivors, couples and folx in LGBTQIA+ community (including polyamory/ethical non-monogamy). I enjoy working with adults (18+) as well as individuals and couples of all backgrounds who are working through life transitions, depression, anxiety, cultural diversity issues and grief. I operate primarily from a CBT perspective. I also integrate DBT skills and Gottman techniques as well. Self-work is some of the hardest work there is but it can also be the most rewarding. If you are looking for someone to help you navigate that journey, I provide an affirming and safe space to be heard, understood and accepted while you work towards your goals. I am now accepting clients and look forward to meeting you!
