About

With 30 years experience in mental health, I have a conviction about the human capacity to grow, develop, and adapt throughout life. I appreciate that each person brings to therapy a unique self: the combination of one's personal characteristics, early family relationships, and life experiences. I practice from a psychodynamic perspective to better understand your current situation in a safe therapeutic environment of curiosity and collaboration.

My clinical focus is on the intersection and interaction of one's past and present in significant relationships and responses to life events. I carefully assess and then build upon the strengths of the individual, encouraging and supporting the growth of greater capacity for reflection, flexibility, and problem solving.

I look forward to meeting with you and working hard together to explore the deeper meanings of your experiences as they relate to the present, and how you would like to see yourself in the future.
