As an integrative therapist, I help the mind and body work together towards healing and wellbeing. I understand that trauma, stress responses, and unresolved relational/emotional wounds become unconsciously embedded into the nervous system–and by extension the whole body. My approach uses body-centered psychotherapy methods, allowing us to trek below the surface for deep transformation and self discovery. Foundational to my clinical approach is my training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a type of somatic therapy that can be tailored for a variety of concerns. I also draw from a number of different evidence based therapy methods, practical neurobiology, yoga, mindfulness, and frameworks of anti-oppression and intersectional feminism. Ultimately, I believe that the most important active ingredient in therapy is the unique, authentic client/therapist relationship. My style is warm and down to earth, with plenty of room for humor and compassionate curiosity.
