As a therapist, I utilize several evidenced-based practices to support you with your journey to your authentic self, including cultivating self-compassion, insight-oriented therapy, internal family systems, acceptance and commitment therapy, EMDR, Buddhist psychology, and DBT. I bring lived experience and incorporate trauma treatment tools rooted in neuroscience using the body, mind, and energy. I've been trained to teach yoga and integrate body and breath to equip you with tools to regulate your nervous system. I have been described by previous clients as compassionate, knowledgeable, intuitive, and supportive. In my free time, I am out in nature, walking my dogs, watching nature documentaries, listening to birds, practicing yoga, meditating, backpacking National Parks, and reading. Viktor Frankel, neurologist, psychiatrist, and Holocaust survivor stated, "Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom." Let's work collaboratively to find and illuminate that "space," and develop an intentional response to replace a reflex.
