About

Bessel van der Kolk Said, "Traumatized people chronically feel unsafe inside their bodies: The past is alive in the form of gnawing interior discomfort. Their bodies are constantly bombarded by visceral warning signs, and, in an attempt to control these processes, they often become expert at ignoring their gut feelings and in numbing awareness of what is played out inside. They learn to hide from their selves." (p.97)" The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma.

I believe that it is possible to heal from Trauma, to stop hiding from oneself. Traditional therapy, weekly or bi-weekly, provides an ideal setting for support, skill and resource development. I have also found that for many, Intensive Therapy (half to full day session) provides an uninterrupted setting to identify and heal from trauma.

I offer 1/2 to Full day (8 hour) intensive trauma treatment. Some times multiple days are necessary to fully resolve the pain of the past. Intensive therapy can be integrated into current/traditional therapy as well as a stand alone treatment. Please contact me to learn more. I also offer professional supervision.
