About

My primary speciality is working with adolescents and young adults, but I enjoy collaborating with anyone who is facing the challenges of building a meaningful life in an often uncertain and confusing world. I currently see a lot of young adults who are adjusting to post-college life. I have a profound respect for the complexity of each individual's journey. I will do my best to really understand where you are coming from, so that we can work together to find a path forward that meets your needs and makes sense to you.

I have past experience as an adolescent substance abuse counselor, a school therapist, and an in-home family therapist. I tend to have a warm, relaxed approach to treatment. Because of this, I tend to be successful at engaging people who are resistant to therapy or have had difficulties connecting with previous therapists.

My initial training was in CBT, but I have also completed two years of post-graduate study at the Cincinnati Psychoanalytic Institute. I strive to blend the best elements of both approaches, building practical life skills while simultaneously encouraging clients to look deeper to identify the root causes of why we struggle in life.
