The relationship between you and your therapist is a unique one, which cultivates the freedom to share any emotion, thought, or behavior, without fear of judgement. It is important to examine both the "why" behind our thoughts and behaviors, as well as how we can heal our inner or outer conflict, and move forward with improved insight, effective coping strategies, and a stronger sense of self. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, the bulk of my work so far has been with young adults and adolescents, though I often work with families and older adults as well. I most recently worked as Clinical Director of an eating disorder program, and plan to continue supporting clients in my current practice, who are navigating the extremely difficult journey of eating disorder recovery. I also often work with those who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, and interpersonal and relationship issues. My goal is to create an environment that includes challenging, but always compassionate, feedback and support. Scheduling a first appointment is typically the most difficult step, after which I can help you get started, provide guidance, and a comfortable space to come back to each week. I look forward to hearing from you to see if we might be a good fit.
