About

Meeting with a counselor requires a lot of courage, so I have great respect for anyone who wants to start that journey. I will provide a non-judgmental space for you to identify your areas of concern and ultimately what you hope to change. Our goal is to build awareness together, so that you can make different choices instead of automatically doing the same things that no longer support you. We will work together to help you pay greater attention to your mind and body processes (i.e., a holistic approach) to facilitate a deeper connection with yourself and others.

I bring a variety of work and life experiences to my counseling of individuals, couples, adolescents and families regarding issues of grief, trauma, anger management, life transitions, and management of stress, anxiety and depression. I believe that helping you identify and build on your strengths is just as important as focusing on problems.

My almost 20 years of clinical experience, my previous career preparing future professional counselors, my arts background and my ongoing clinical training enriches my work with clients. I do my best to make every session useful for my clients. I often help clients examine what is happening with them in the moment, which usually helps with "stuck" issues.
