About

My clients range in age from young adults to individuals in middle age. Most seek therapy when overwhelmed by a personal life challenge. Many aspects of their lives may be going smoothly, but they struggle in other areas: could be the academic rigors of grad school, a complicated relationship with a romantic partner, how to handle work stress or parenting issues. Whatever the reason, my clients hope for a therapist who creates a safe space for them to talk openly about their struggle, someone to help them gain new perspective and to partner with them to help alleviate the emotional pain caused by their difficulty.

For the past 19 years, I have been providing individual psychotherapy to clients, first in community mental health practices and now in my own private practice. I have vast experience helping clients learn to manage their symptoms of anxiety, depression and eating disorders as well as navigating relationship issues and life transitions.

There is no way to escape the difficulties of life; we all face them. Along with life's challenges come emotions, feelings that can cause intense pain but also reveal valuable information. A supportive therapist can make coping easier, and it would be my privilege to accompany you and guide you on your personal growth journey.
