If you have a child who worries a lot -- when no matter what you say, no matter how much loving reassurance you try to provide, you can't get through -- it can feel deeply painful and can leave you feeling a little powerless. Kids who worry a lot often don't know how to manage their outsized emotions. As a parent, it can make you feel like you're walking on eggshells, trying to avoid any of your child's triggers. You bend over backward to try and shift your child’s mood or their perspective, but your child continues to struggle. You’re starting to wonder if it's time to get another set of eyes on the situation. In my practice, I work with children (and adults!) who suffer from anxiety or who are having a hard time with their big feelings and the big actions that follow. I provide consultation and treatment for parents who are looking for new and effective ways to approach the challenges they are having at home. If it's not clear to you exactly what's going on with your child right now, that's okay. Together we'll figure out where things are stuck, and then establish a plan to give your child the tools they need to settle down and enjoy being a kid again. If you'd like to see if we're a good fit, reach out so we can schedule a free consultation call.
