Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe space for people from all walks of life. Whether is is the rolling back of women's rights, attacks on our LGBTQIA+ communities, the spread of antisemitism, police violence, or attacks on Asian communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is no wonder that so many people are experiencing anxiety, trauma, and depression. If you have ever felt attacked, judged, or ashamed to be yourself, I would love to help you advocate for your self and find peace in this world. While I believe that there is no one size fits all approach to therapy; I am extensively trained in Cognitive-Behavior Therapy as well as EMDR. With CBT, you will learn to "Be your own therapist" by understanding how your thoughts influence your feelings and actions. In EMDR, you will heal from past trauma using your brain's own healing processes. I want all of my clients to know that I will always fight for them and their health - I know that therapy can't solve everything, but I firmly believe that the first step to healing is helping my clients acknowledge and access the resources they need to get better. I also continuously advocate for change at the state and national level.
