About

Many of us struggle daily with issues like anxiety, stress, depression, anger or just feeling misunderstood. We may feel stuck and ashamed at our inability to just will ourselves into being "better". This internal suffering is so common, but the good news is we all possess an internal capacity for change. It hurts to feel "stuck", but making changes can also be hard to do on our own. I have years of experience working with folks with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, addiction, stress and other personal challenges. I am specially trained and committed to supporting clients in the LGBTQ community and immigrant populations.

I approach therapy using a combination of classic evidence-based treatments, skills training, use of structure and mindfulness practice. I view therapy as a lifestyle change and train clients to learn to prevent problems, rather than react to them. In addition to basic cognitive work, I teach clients how to regulate their emotions using both mind and body.

I view therapy as a collaborative process. Together we will find ways to disrupt unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaving and find new ways to respond and react when things get stressful. I create a supportive space where we can focus on improving self-esteem, managing our moods and feeling better. If you are committed to this process, please contact me.
