At some point in our lives, we run out of ways to avoid the pain that has been compiling for years. The necessary coping skills we developed previously stop working and we can feel as if we are coming to the end of ourselves. This is where healing begins. I am a firm believer that you are both capable and driven towards growth and change. I have worked with individuals struggling with codependency, poverty, identity issues, trauma, varying mental health diagnoses, as well as life transitions. I am currently in EMDR training. Next year I will begin my training in Somatic Experiencing Therapy and, until then, will be learning these skills under the supervision of Laura K. Grace MA, LPC, SEP. With an integrative approach that incorporates body, mind, and emotions, I would be honored to walk alongside you as this healing journey takes place. It is not an easy task to begin the process of therapy and my hope for all my clients is that they experience gentleness in my office as we go at a slow pace that feels safe for the nervous system.
