Clients often come to me when they are exhausted from their thoughts, emotions, urges or memories. These issues can take a toll on relationships and a person's sense of self and leave us feeling isolated and alone. I work with people of all ages who experience common and complex problems including: depression, anxiety, burnout, the effects of traumatic circumstances (flashbacks, rumination, dissociation, avoidance, etc.), anger management skill development, codependency in relationships and establishing boundaries, ADHD and other neurodiverse thinking and social skill development for youth. I use an integrative approach from therapeutic models including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, focusing on the present moment and body awareness. I also offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients find a sense of safety and calm. This may be the time for you to step back and shift your perspective. Let's figure out a lifestyle that is more sustainable, flexible and less stressful. I can offer tools for you to use the challenges you are facing as opportunities for growth. My office is a supportive, non-judgmental space to help you find clarity about how to move forward.
