Having attended a Rogerian graduate program, I take a client-centered, whole person approach in all my work with clients. I work with each client to help them identify the key issues/challenges they see as obstacles to growth, optimal functioning & increased daily quality of life. In my work with couples, we usually start by hitting the reset button on communications and then identify their unique challenges. This process entails seeing each client individually, followed by joint sessions. I give homework regularly and ask that all clients keep a journal of our work together. Private office in Pittsfield coming soon. I specialize in: Individual and Couples counseling, Anxiety & Depression, Men's Issues (esp. middle-aged+), LGBTQ+ issues, Health/Chronic Pain, Addiction/Recovery incl. non-sub. related, such as cellphone/devices, sex/porn and gambling. I'm also a musician and teacher and know that being mutually invested in the work and tracking progress gets quicker results. Therefore, a journal/notebook of our work together is required during every session.
