Years ago, when I began the journey to become a therapist, I found a letter written by my younger (8y/o) self. The letter said, "when I grow up I want to be a person that helps others, like a psychiatrist, a teacher or run a daycare." This letter is now on my wall in a frame to remind me everyday of the innocence of our youth. My drive rises from a place where we all have insecurities and we rise above and beat them. If it is from our trials that we learn how strong we can truly be. My goal is not to keep you in therapy. It is to help you get where you want to be as safely and genuinely as possible. If we were to fast forward three months and therapy did exactly what you needed, what would your life look like? I invite you to call me today. It is important to me that we make progress. Have you seen the show "The Biggest Loser?" Contestants work hard to change. Therapy is no different. Losing weight is hard and healing hurt is harder. I encourage you to take a deep breath and give me a call. I'm never too busy to help.
