About

I am Latina, bilingual, person of color who focuses on cultural humility to build trusting relationships. Her practice is person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. She believes in building trusting relationships that foster self-determination and meet individuals where they are with an emphasis on the here-and-now while making connections to the past.

I use an eclectic approach to therapy. I assign homework based on skills learned in sessions. I find that giving homework is an important part of healing because it helps the person explore, learn, and work on themselves outside of a therapy session. Making progress is individualized and looks different for everyone.

When treating and serving others, I believe in treating them as I wish to be treated. I believe that each of us has the potential to create a meaningful and fulfilling life. I approach therapy with the sincere desire to assist individuals and to learn from their experiences.
