We learn from our world and each other through many ways including love, observation, struggle, and collaboration. My approach embraces the bio-psycho-social model, placing emphasis on what’s “built in” genetically, learned psychologically, and experienced (past and present) environmentally. I use this perspective to understand where people are coming from, meeting them where they are with nonjudgment and acceptance. Connection to yourself and others is profoundly powerful. Our relationships directly impact the way we feel in body and mind, and our physical and emotional wellbeing are inextricably intertwined. Because of this, it’s crucial to cultivate balance of our social, physical, spiritual, and emotional self. Good food and a sense of humor are my favorite things. In my free time, I enjoy playing and coaching volleyball. I adore a good movie any day of the week. In my book, home improvement projects are best when impulsive and creative. My often paint-stained hands, arms, and sportswear, honor my projects. Most of all, I love spending time with my dogs and family
