My work with clients is grounded in a collaborative relationship. We work together to clarify your goals and choices, and to become aware of both the internal and the external barriers to achieving these goals. My therapeutic style supports my clients in living with increased awareness rather than automatically repeating old destructive patterns; my emphasis on addressing issues with compassion supports self-exploration and change. Over time, we collaborate in shaping a life that is consistent with your values, which in turn increases self-respect and peace of mind. I have a special interest in Mindfulness and other approaches that encourage self-observation and self-compassion. These approaches facilitate awareness of what is happening in our inner and outer worlds in the present moment, which helps us deal with life's challenges more effectively. I see clients Monday through Thursday and on occasional Fridays. I do not currently have openings for new clients; I expect to have openings for new clients in January, 2025.
