About

My name is Priscilla (pronouns she/her/hers/ella). I am a first generation Latina American from Costa Rica. I am fluent in English and Spanish. I attended Lesley University for Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Dance/Movement Therapy. Currently, I teach at Lesley University as an adjunct professor for the expressive therapies graduate program. I honor the client’s whole self in treatment, paralleling the nonverbal, holistic approach of Dance/movement therapy.

I believe in a collaborative approach, where client and therapist look at the client’s relationship to the self, others, and the environment in efforts of moving towards healing. I am a white, cisgender Latina. I am an ally to LGBTQIA+ community. My work, regardless of the client’s identity, is gender affirming.

I have worked with children, adolescents, and caregivers who are in the process of exploring their gender, sexuality and other aspects of the self. I believe psychoeducation is a powerful tool, and we can empower our community to align with basic human rights all are worthy of. My past work includes school-based therapy, outpatient, and inpatient therapy.
