For over five years, I've had the privilege to work with children & adolescents who struggle with managing a variety of mental health disorders, such as Depression, Anxiety, ADHD and more. Most of them have a history of trauma exposures, including community violence, grief/loss, abuse, or separation/divorce. These life experiences often cloud their worldview and judgement as well as their ability to trust others and capacity to regulate their emotions in order to cope with these challenges. They yearn for new social, communication, conflict resolution and coping skills to apply every day so they can live happier, healthier lives. First, I guide my youth through a personal exploration of their feelings & thoughts associated with the presenting problem using a CBT approach. Then, I focus on identifying their strengths in order to leverage them during their therapeutic journey. Lastly, I always utilize my creativity to engage them in everyday activities with a fun, therapeutic twist. Every day I think about how special it is to watch youth turn their struggles and challenges into beautiful opportunities for positive growth in their bright futures! It would be my honor to empower, motivate & inspire your youth to develop the necessary tools to unlock their ultimate potential. Please reach out so we can discuss your best course of action.
