I specialize in working with people in transition. These transitions have many sources, but we all struggle with them to some degree. In short, crisis provides danger and opportunity. I facilitate growth and change, rather than being reductionistic and focusing solely on symptoms. Together my clients and I collaborate to create new insights, develop new skills and eliminate old, unproductive ways of thinking and behaving. I have extensive experience, with depression, anxiety and trauma. These disorders have much overlap, and are often found coexisting. I also do psychodiagnostic (psychological testing) work with all ages. I also do EMDR for trauma and have recently completed the Intermediate training in Clinical Hypnosis via American Society for Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) Most patients are reimbursed by insurance carriers for psychotherapy. My primary allegiance lies with my patients, thus no restrictions are placed on the length and styles of treatment available. I maintain a pay-as-you-go practice, and provide monthly receipts. I also do consulting with small family businesses around issues of communication and conflict.
