Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
For many, these last few years have been exceptionally difficult, and in one way or another most of us are struggling right now. I (they/them) believe that developing a deeper understanding of what you’re going through and how you’re coping can help you get to a better mental place. I strive to be a careful listener who will treat you as the expert of your own experience and endeavor to help you understand and overcome the things that are hurting you or holding you back. I work primarily with queer and trans adults, cis women, polycules, and couples. My practice is person centered, fat positive, and kink affirming. I use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and my approach is consistently informed by queer, crip, and anti-racist theory. I’m queer, nonbinary, and joyfully committed to anti-racism, anti-ableism, health at every size, and kink positivity. I work as an outpatient psychotherapist at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness in Durham, NC. I’m happy to help those of all faiths and philosophies.
