My name is Perla Campos Ruiz, LMFT and I have been providing therapeutic services to individuals of ages 4 and older since 2017. I have been providing individual therapy to victims of crime, domestic violence and with open cases with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). I have been working with clients who have experienced anxiety and depression for the past 6 years in the hospital setting and outpatient setting. In addition, I have worked with clients who have been victims of crime and have been going through child custody and/or have cases with child protective services. I have been practicing solution focused treatment for about 6 years. During treatment, I guide clients in identifying problems that have been causing specific symptoms. Once the problems have been identified we work together in setting goals to solve those specific problems. I have also been practicing CBT for the past 6 years. I guide clients in identifying negative thoughts and behaviors and learn how to change the thought and behavior to reduce symptoms.
