Therapy should be easy to understand and active from the word go. We don't just talk about the problem or figure out why the patterns are there; we hit the ground running with action and get you feeling better as soon as possible. I work with a lot of folks who have tried therapy before and been disappointed when insight and understanding don't lead to change, and folks who are trying therapy for the first time and want it to be practical and clear. I start with a free 20-minute phone consultation. I work with folks experiencing depression or anxiety to make positive change right now, in well-proven methods for feeling better by making conscious changes to how we tend to behave and think in challenging circumstances. We'll spend much more time on the solutions than on the problems. In addition to my therapy practice, I'm on the faculty at Alliant International University, teaching counseling skills to graduate students. In my past life, I've worked in areas as diverse as software development and theatre, so I also have a background in business, technology and the arts.
