There are reasons we think or feel the way we do; sometimes feeling insane is a sign that the life we are living is insane. And sometimes, it's been going on for generations. Getting "over it" isn't the goal; understanding and making peace with it is--most of us have the ability to learn new ways of coping. Reaching out for help isn't weak, it is a strength. Learn how to live rather than simply existing. Looking for a "cure" often keeps us from working with a process that can change and improve our lives. Many things assault our abilities to cope. Working through trauma, anger/rage, grief, shame, self-hatred, co-occurring disorders, behavioral and substance issues can give us an opportunity to find life-altering answers. I am certified in EMDR therapy and use a number of modalities to help with healing. Understanding how the brain and body works and how we can change is amazing.
