About

I believe working with people who have issues with substance abuse and mental health, e.g. anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship issues, or plainly, trouble coping with life’s challenges is my calling. I have a long history of helping people identify their issues and supporting them as they work toward overcoming them. I appreciate working with people who are relearning ways of dealing with life’s challenges. To know better is to do better. People want to feel in control of their lives. Sometimes they need to learn how. “If you know the why you can manage any how.”

I am practiced in many evidence based approaches, e.g. cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, person centered therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapeutic approaches. I have studied and practiced these methods and helped people with anxiety, depression, PTSD, addictions, etc.

There are various approaches when it comes to helping people overcome their issues. The understood most important thing is the relationship. My social work training and personal belief system is to meet people where they are and demonstrate unconditional positive regard while assisting them in overcoming their difficulties.
