I am a licensed independent clinical social worker with a varied practice history including work in nonprofit, home health, and clinical settings. I work with children and adults concerned with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationships, and adjustment to life changes. I view each client as an expert in their own lives and recognize the importance of each client's story and how it informs their worldview and goals for therapy. My approach is always client centered and often includes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy as well as mindfulness. I work collaboratively with each client to help uncover areas of personal strength, opportunities for resiliency, and strategies to navigate everyday life stressors. I strive for clients to leave therapy feeling validated, grounded in their sense of self, and empowered to live their life in a way that feels authentic. I received my bachelors degree in Psychology from Concordia College-Moorhead and my masters degree from the University of St. Thomas-St. Paul. In my free time I enjoy traveling and the outdoors. I also have a golden retriever named Parker who may be present at your session if you are comfortable.
