I am a trauma informed Licensed Professional Counselor trained in EMDR to work with those whose lives have become difficult due to trauma, relationship distress, and self-worth issues. My approach to counseling is grounded in a interpersonal-neurobiological perspective (IPNB). Which means I strive to understand how the brain, mind, & spirit are all affected by past & current pain. I want to come to know who you really are, not who your pain has distorted you to be. I have a Masters of Arts in Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. I am trained in Trauma Therapy, EMDR, CBT, and Systems Theory. For all of my clients, I develop a treatment plan specific to their particular needs in order to bring about healing in the most respectful way possible. You are not a problem to be solved, but a person to be healed. Through a mutual relationship facilitated by empathy and careful attunement I utilize evidence based treatments to reunite the fragments of what has been broken in your life.
