My primary clinical focus is helping women navigate the many challenges that they face in their various roles as moms, wives, friends, professionals, etc. I have recently completed a certification in Perinatal Mental Health, specializing in mood and anxiety disorders during the pregnancy and postpartum period. Areas of focus in our work together may include exploring issues of self-esteem, anxiety, depression, prenatal/postpartum adjustment, grief/loss, marital stressors, divorce adjustment, spirituality and boundaries in relationships. I have also received advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and am a certified facilitator of the Prepare/Enrich pre-marital or marriage enhancement assessment tool. When working with couples, my primary focus is to help restore their connection by helping them identify and understand their role in problematic interaction patterns. I aim provide a calm and therapeutic space and presence for clients to come and feel safe as they share some of the most vulnerable parts of themselves with me or their significant others. The session focus is often on identifying and sorting through emotions and highlighting areas of strength and resilience.
