About

I am passionate about supporting people as they grow into their best selves, learn to be seen for who they are rather than what they look like, and strive to accept imperfections and pain with greater self-compassion. I treat eating disorders (binge eating, bulimia, anorexia, exercise addiction), anxiety, depression, traits of borderline personality, interpersonal trauma, and relationship problems in families and couples. I believe that a collaborative and accepting relationship is needed for people to change and heal.

I believe that people are doing the best they can to manage the problems they face. However, sometimes the way we cope starts to hurt us. I help clients understand what purpose their actions, feelings, and beliefs serve, and determine alternate ways of meeting needs that are not damaging.

My therapy style is relational and collaborative. While I am able to offer expertise, skills, and new perspectives, I believe clients are the most knowledgeable about their experiences and the choices that will bring them contentment. Together we can create individualized goals to help you live the life you choose.
