About

As a licensed clinical social worker and a PhD in psychological anthropology, I've spent 30 years studying how people all over the world overcome their suffering. I help clients develop life skills to improve their relationships, decrease their anxiety and find joy in and acceptance of the present moment. Specifically, I combine mindfulness and meditation with cognitive behavioral therapy and traditional psychodynamic methods so that clients can both understand and change what blocks them from happiness.

I enjoy working with curious people who want to know themselves better and to improve their ways of thinking, interacting, feeling and being. Therapy requires willingness to push oneself with new questions and practices to develop insight and skills. I am privileged to be a part of that therapeutic process.
