My name is Nicole Byrum, and I am an independently licensed marriage and family therapist with 16 years of clinical experience. I have worked with a variety of clientele, and much of my work has been with those facing Anxiety, Coping Skills, Depression, Relationship Issues, and Substance Use. I often use a mix of Christian Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Dialectical (DBT), and many more. I believe it is the client's job to determine the goals for therapy, but I will come alongside them to help determine the objectives connected to that goal. I believe I am warm and empathetic but can challenge your thinking and perspectives when needed. I will format the treatment plan to your individual needs and will check in frequently with you regarding the progress on your determined goals. I will always be on the lookout for the strengths that you possess and guide you through this journey of yours. During the first session, I focus on rapport building and completing the initial assessment and treatment plan. I like to end by giving a homework assignment geared toward one of your identified goals. I'm so glad you've decided to take this step toward change.
