About

Children experiencing ongoing stress, internal conflicts and or trauma, often, more than other's their own age, resort to acting-out at home, at school, and in the community, and will do things such as; not following or ignoring directions, yelling, crying, screaming, hitting, throwing things, as well as fighting with sibling, peers, and adults. Parents do their best, but sometimes feel overwhelmed or even guilty, where despite all of their efforts, the child continues to misbehave. The hardest part, is that parents and kids want resolution, a return to a better relationship, but sometimes it's hard to know where to start.

Children haven't yet developed the same ability or skill level that adults have for abstraction, reasoning, or vocabulary, which makes play therapy a "natural fit" for children. Play therapy offers children, from an emotionally/psychologically safe space, a way to work through worries, conflicts, and any traumatic experiences they may have experienced.

Don't forget, get your preschooler ready for kindergarten! Wellplay Play Therapy can help significantly improve your child's behavioral, social, emotional and play skills. Summer is the perfect time, especially if your preschooler is headed for kindergarten!
