About

Dr. Fathi completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California Los Angeles, subsequently pursued graduate training in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Southern California, and later completed her Doctorate at the California State University of Northridge. She has worked at some of the most well-known drug and alcohol treatment centers in Southern California, as well as private and state-funded clinics helping individuals, families, and couples.

She has been operating her private practice now for well over ten years and has been using a broad range of cognitive-behavioral and insight-oriented techniques in the psychotherapy and counseling process. Dr. Fathi also teaches a variety of undergraduate psychology classes as well as has her podcast.

Her main philosophy is the importance of understanding the uniqueness of each individual and sensitivity to each person's diverse developmental and cultural background, and because of that, she places great importance on the assessment of client needs and the creative presentation of a tailored therapeutic experience that will be fulfilling along the way.
