Within our current cultural paradigm, many individuals face heightened levels of stress, problematic substance use, and strained relationships. Social discourse regarding drug use, gender identity, and disability can cause negative self perception and aggravate rather than alleviate these distresses. As a counselor, I promote a critically informed, empathetic and creatively embodied therapeutic practice that can help individuals better navigate such distressing experiences while developing the insights and skills to thrive despite our collective experience within oppressive systems. View 3 Photos Grounded in a critical, relational, and embodied perspective, I prioritize building the therapeutic relationship around a harm reduction-informed philosophy that utilizes psychodynamic perspectives and narrative approaches to healing and growth. Ultimately, I hope to build an empowering experience for clients that can transform their interpersonal lives. If you are interested in working with me please do not hesitate to reach out for a free 20 minute consultation where we can explore pragmatic and evidence based approaches to such problems and whether my counseling style would be a good fit for your needs.
