About

I have 25 years of experience seeing individuals and couples. I love my work as it allows me to follow my passion of helping people find meaning and master whatever challenges they face with care and compassion. I have extensive experience treating depression, anxiety, relationship issues, emotional eating, and self-worth. I offer groups for mindfulness, emotional overeating, and anxiety/depression. I have found mindfulness to be an important life skill for people. It is particularly helpful in dealing with stress, anxiety, and depression. With this skill we can all learn to quiet our busy minds and handle emotions more effectively.

I see change in relationships as coming from a blend of individual growth and effective communication. I view eating issues from the perspective of how much energy is wrapped up in thoughts of eating/ body image each day, and work to help people find freedom from this. I am Level II trained in EMDR and use this to treat a variety of trauma symptoms.

I take a holistic approach to therapy and work to help you find and trust your internal wisdom. I am comfortable with non-traditional spiritual beliefs and am respectful to all individuals. I believe in the value of both traditional and integrative approaches, depending on your values and preferences.
