About

Life is hard. People are hard. Systems are hard. At times, it can feel like there is so much working against our well-being and the life we hope to live, the relationships we hope to have. And we all have beautifully complex healing systems that are unique to our passions, experiences and ultimately our core. I enjoy engaging with people in their stories and exploring a balance of struggles that have caused suffering as well the narratives that are unexplored. Navigating the mind body connection and valuing both equally in healing is important to me.

Whether through EMDR, Gentle Reprocessing, guided imagery or chakra based therapy, the body holds significant information to be processed. And Optimal Psychology (philosophical worldview of Umoja Behavioral Health) challenges the dominant value system and explores an alternate worldview that is freeing, healing and affirming.

And all these ideas are great but the relationship is most important. It has to be a good fit that allows for a strong connection where vulnerability can exist. As a supervisor, I also have a group of skilled, invested, caring supervisees who have their own experiences, passions and personalities that they bring to therapeutic work.
