My name is Misty Grimes, and I am a licensed clinical social worker based in Denver, Co and working with clients statewide via telehealth. It is my goal to assist you in finding a new perspective and wisdom that you can apply in your daily life to improve your overall happiness and wellbeing. My therapeutic approach is we are in this together. I meet you where you are and assist you in becoming your best self. This involves implementing one or more therapeutic methods to ensure each patient's individual needs are met. My therapeutic approach uses the following therapy modalities psychotherapy, CBT, DBT, and existential. My journey to becoming a therapist started as a child. Since I was a child, I have enjoyed helping people. I would give homeless people my allowance. Growing up I was told I am easy to talk with and comfortable to be around. My mom, noted, I would I give a person the shirt off my back if they needed it. I would bring home injured animals and put spiders outside. I practice co-existing and feel every life matters. I have a strong empath side and that has shown me that being a therapist was the right path for me.
