I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and certified Psychoanalyst with over 30 years of experience, including 20 years as a therapist in private practice. I treat and assess patients of all ages who are struggling with depression, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactive disorders, and addiction recovery. I provide a safe, confidential environment so that patients can freely share their emotions, thoughts, past traumas, and can begin to explore the limitations which keep the patient from reaching a happy, healthy mind. My additional certification as a family therapist allows me to address the spectrum of issues which are unique to families. I have vast experience in helping families and couples, and I am one of very few Miami therapists with training and certification in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. This therapy uses an attachment based approach to repair the primary emotional bonds between adults who are experiencing distress in their relationship. Before entering private practice, I held high-ranking positions at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City and the University of Miami, Behavioral Health Services. Presently, I am on the Board of Directors of the Attention Deficit Disorder Association, and I volunteer for other professional and public associations.
