Hi there, I'm Mikayla! I work primarily with adults, but have experience working with adolescents and families in various mental health settings. I interpret behavior as a way to communicate unmet needs and I enjoy helping clients identify the barriers to meeting those needs. My areas of specialty include life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma/attachment, family conflict, relationship issues. I approach therapy by meeting my clients where they are at, while also offering guidance and a gentle nudge as the therapeutic relationship grows. I approach therapy holistically: mental, physical, emotional, spiritual, & relational. I use a strengths-based & trauma-informed approach, strive for a strong therapeutic alliance, and am grounded in my Christian worldview. I consider how one's upbringing & past experiences impact current situations & offer a safe space to problem solve these challenges. As a mental health therapist, I desire to help my clients grow in their knowledge of themselves, gain confidence in their whole being, and further thrive in their relationships. When it comes down to it, we all deserve to experience authentic joy. I offer a complimentary phone consultation and would love to chat with you to see if we'd be a good fit!
