About

I think the first thing someone seeking help needs to release is a sense of wrongness - "I let this happen," "I'm no good," "If only I had..." These are all normal, human responses, but they are also hurtful and create a false sense of self. The reason I became a counselor was to help those individuals carrying around guilt and shame. It affects everything - your relationships, your work, everything! I want everyone to thrive and live their fullest life. Being able to see yourself clearly, not for what you've done or did not do, is a powerful healing agent.

I specialize in complex trauma, EMDR, and perinatal mental health. I have been a LPC for nearly a decade and have worked with young children, adolescents, and adults. I am a Registered Play Therapy Supervisor and enjoy providing supervision and consultation for both EMDR and play therapy. Everyone benefits from these modalities.

I continue to be in awe of individuals reaching out for help. It takes such courage! It is also not lost on me how strange and intimidating the counseling process can be. When you are ready to take that leap of faith, I'd be honored to talk more with you. Thank you for being brave!
