Michelle Zimney; MS, LPC is experienced working with children, adolescents, and families who have experienced trauma. Michelle is trained/certified in several evidenced-based treatment modalities such as Parent Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT- Tapping), and Reunification & Family Therapy. Prior to working as a clinical therapist, Michelle was a child and family advocate. Michelle is passionate about her work with families; helping them to overcome adverse life experiences. CPI, PCIT, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) trained and certified PSB trained (Problematic Sexual Behaviors) Evidenced Based Assessments trained Mandated Reporter Training Certification TF-CBT trained and certified DBT trained CBT trained Play Therapy Advanced TF-CBT for Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children S.P.A.R.C. trained & EFT. Michelle has extensive experience in court testimony, expert witness testimony, child custody cases, family therapy, and reunification therapy. She has built a strong rapport with the legal community, Guardian ad Litems, and Parent Investigators; working collaboratively in the best interest of the child.
