Greetings! My name is Michelle Elias LPC, CAC III. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Addictions Counselor with over 15 years of experience in the areas of both mental health and substance abuse. I take a strength based approach when working with clients. I can help clients with a wide variety of challenges they may face in their daily lives. I take an eclectic approach in my therapeutic practice because every one of us has a unique experience with individual needs that are important for me to understand for the best outcome in a therapeutic relationship. Goal setting is a team effort and it is important that the goals come from the client with my assistance and support. It is important that goals are attainable, measurable and it's clear to both my client and myself what and how is working or not working when it comes to goals. During our first meeting, I want to hear about you! I find it often beneficial to start with a series of questions for me to know you better as an individual. It's also important that I understand what is happening in your life that motivated you into counseling as well as any goal/s you may already have coming into our first meeting.
