About

Most of the clients I have worked with over the years are looking for acceptance: familial, peer, and social. They are looking for their place to fit in. The challenges they face are "big" to them and important for them to gain understanding and guidance on how to move forward to a place that is comfortable for them where they can be "seen and heard". I have worked with, and learned from, a variety of people with a host of concerns over the years. I would say that I have learned as much from them as they have from me, if not more from them in how best to approach then work to resolve what there concerns are.

I take the perspective of this being a journey, not a race, with both its ups and downs and full of opportunities to learn and grow. Guiding a person through this thoughtfully and caringly, listening while providing observations, insights, and professional wisdom along the way to them seeing what they can do.

In my work, I find it best to work collaboratively with the person in a way that is supportive, understanding and emphasizes the person's strengths and abilities to identify and overcome the challenges that they are currently facing.
