Working from a person-centered perspective, I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important components for change. I offer an empathic space to explore your goals toward recovery. I use a variety of theoretical approaches, including CBT, existential, and interpersonal therapies. Specializing in eating disorders, I begin the therapeutic relationship by meeting clients where they are in the recovery process. I understand that the development of an eating disorder is complex, and that there is no "one size fits all" approach to treatment. I can help you learn positive coping skills and address body image, identity, and self-esteem issues. Although eating disorders are my primary area of expertise, have extensive experience and interest addressing such issues as anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, family of origin issues, and personality disorders. I also enjoy working with clients struggling with women's issues, specifically with relationship issues and those in need of postpartum support. I have experience working with teens and adults, both female and male. I also have worked with people of different sexual orientations and gender identities, various religious and spiritual beliefs, and a variety of racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
