Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
I see individuals from all walks of life who are struggling with a variety of mental health challenges, folks who want to facilitate meaningful change in their lives, and people who are seeking relief from the chronic stress of their daily routine, due to their work environment, relationship or parenting difficulties, or living in a world that feels overwhelming, isolating, or oppressive. I have extensive experience in supporting healthcare providers as well as individuals who have experienced trauma, particularly in the childhood years. I utilize a number of frameworks, modalities, and interventions in sessions. I am deeply rooted in attachment theory, as well as trauma + trauma recovery research, and also center the larger social constructs of a client’s experience, borrowing from the Liberation Health Model approach and numerous other social justice frameworks and perspectives. Therapy is collaborative, and the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of the journey and process. The joy of therapy (to me) is uncovering, discovering, or recovering who we were, who we have always been, and who we want to become.
