It is my belief that every person can benefit from therapy at some point in their life. It can be helpful whether you're working through a specific, short-term problem or changing long-standing patterns of behavior, adjusting to an unexpected life change, gaining clarity about decisions or life goals, increasing self-confidence or self-realization, improving communication, or becoming more effective at regulating difficult emotions. With over 20 years of experience in the field, my first priorities with a client are to create a calm and welcoming environment that is free of judgement where trust can be built, and identifying goals for therapy. I specialize in serving the LGBTQ+ community, but my experience has allowed me to work effectively people from many different backgrounds. Sometimes the prospect of engaging in therapy can be scary or create anxiety, and that's understandable: meeting someone new to talk about private and personal thoughts, feelings or experiences might very well have that effect. If you are ready to take that step, I would value the opportunity to speak to you about working together on your goals!
