Knowledge can bring awareness to what parts of ourselves need nurturance, acceptance, healing, and support. Although society has encouraged us to mask or hide our true selves, my goal in counseling is to create a safe and affirming space where clients can explore their true selves and needs with openness and support. I saw how using experience, strength, hope, and empathy could bring about significant and insightful changes in a person’s way of life. My specialization also includes anxiety management, depression, trauma and other mood disorders and addictions including gaming and gambling. I enjoy working with those in recovery, using both my clinical skills and my lived experience. I am in the process of obtaining my endorsement in disordered gambling. To further support my clients I am also pursuing my certification from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH).
